Women's Group

Since the founding of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church the women of this parish have come together to meet the needs of our church, parishioners, and the surrounding Monroe County community. It is with concern, kindness, and devotion that women of our parish through the years, initiated and participated in only some of numerous projects and continued responsibilities, such as: providing after funeral service luncheons and receptions for family and friends of deceased, working at Good Shepherd center in many capacities, Bible study group, visits to the homebound of the parish, providing prayer shawls and lap blankets for sick, volunteering at the local Animal Shelter resale store, organizing events such as the Italian Dining Out and Chili and Soup Supper for fellowship and fundraising. The group also planned, implemented, built, and maintains our beautiful Grotto to Our Lady, Blessed Mother..

Hispanic Committee

From the National Catholic Council for Hispanic Ministry: ...[we are] the vehicle for communication, reflection, dialogue, networking, and collaboration among national and regional ministerial/professional organizations, institutes, movements, and religious congregations, and lay leaders. NCCHM furthers the empowerment of Hispanics in both church and society by identifying, convoking, and developing leadership among member organizations and their constituencies".

Knights of Columbus

From the Knights of Columbus Mission Statement: "Knights are the ‘strong right arm’ of their local parishes.  They help with tasks and special projects that require both the financial and manpower-based resources that the Knights can provide. Knights sponsor “Blue Masses” to pray for and show support for their local police, fire, and emergency personnel.  They also sponsor and support food drives and fund drive to raise money for charity. Councils hold activities that foster fraternal bonds between members, allow for networking opportunities and building leadership skills in members that lead to professional success.  Council service programs are designed on a council-to-council basis to conduct projects that suit both the needs of the community and the interest of the membership. Councils sponsor social functions that are open to members and their families.  Councils conduct several events every year ranging from family outings and holiday parties to barbecues".
